etting out on a 9-hours adventure before a wedding day is sure to yield incredible memories! That's exactly what Cassie and Kyle did to celebrate their upcoming nuptials in Iceland. With their photographer Ann of Your Adventure Wedding in tow, the lovebirds wanted an experience completely unique to match their spirited personalities, and they found just that in the Southern Highlands, an Icelandic region known for its geothermal mountains, untouched wilderness, rocky black deserts, and pockets of natural wonders like hidden waterfalls and glacial rivers.

With eerie and desolate landscapes such as these, one cannot help but think that we have been transported to Mars, a whole new world not yet inhabited by humans. For Cassie and Kyle, the raw textures of ancient tectonic plate movements and dramatic canyons only added to their adventurous hike and time together before becoming newlyweds. Very few places on Earth remind us of a very young planet's early primordial years, and Iceland shared that marvel for some very special destination portraits.
